A 16-BORE DOUBLE-BARRELLED ROTARY-UNDERLEVER HAMMER RIFLE, serial no. 2187, 27 3/4in. black powder only twist barrels (internal and external rusting), rib inscription worn but likely to be Manton & Co. London & Calcutta, three folding leaf sights with white-metal inlaid sight lines and marked for 100, 200 and 300 yards, bead fore-sight, Jones patent rotary-underlever, carved serpentine fences, unsigned back-action locks with probable replacement hammers, border and scroll engraving, action bar with some pitting and likely squeezed, 15 1/8in. pistolgrip stock (much surface bruising and knocks, possible historic replacement) with cheekpiece, pistolgrip-cap and separating horn buttplate, fore-end wood likely historic replacement, weight 8lb. 15oz.
